This Privacy Policy explains how TurboSEO handles information when you use the TurboSEO Chrome extension, website, and related services.
Local-Only SEO Analysis
TurboSEO does not collect, store, or transmit webpage content, SEO analysis results, browsing history, or page data from the Chrome extension. All SEO analysis is performed locally in the user's browser.
Browser Permissions
TurboSEO requires certain browser permissions to function properly. The activeTab and optional website permissions allow TurboSEO to analyze the currently viewed webpage when the user chooses to run an audit. The scripting permission is used to analyze page content and generate SEO insights directly in the browser. The storage permission is used to save user settings, audit history, and generated reports locally on the user's device. The contextMenus permission is used to allow users to start an SEO audit from the right-click menu. TurboSEO only accesses webpage content when the user explicitly runs an audit.
Website and Payment Data
If you interact with the TurboSEO website or make a purchase, we may process limited transaction-related information such as email address, license key, plan type, activation status, and payment metadata. This information is used only for licensing, billing, and customer fulfillment.
Third-Party Services
TurboSEO uses service providers only for licensing and payments. Supabase may store license records, Stripe processes payments, and Resend may send license emails. These services do not receive your webpage analysis data from the extension.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited billing or licensing data with service providers or where required by law, but we do not share extension analysis data because that data remains on the user's device.
Data Retention
We retain transaction and license records only as long as needed for billing, license fulfillment, support, security, and legal compliance.
